SEMESTER PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

The Ukrainian Catholic University invites international students to spend an exciting semester in Lviv at our special study program.
Living and studying abroad offers the unique opportunity to incorporate the country and its culture into your learning experience. Our program combines an in-depth study of Eastern and Central Europe’s historical, cultural and spiritual traditions and study of the Ukrainian language and immersion in the experience of everyday life.
The UCU offers academic courses for the fall and spring semesters. Most of them concentrate on Ukraine and its heritage within the larger East Central European perspective. All strive to relate academics to the cultural understanding students will acquire while staying in Lviv.
All the courses are taught by highly qualified professors with the experience of studying and teaching at Western universities. Our programs meet the academic standards of Western universities and international students can obtain credit at their home universities for the courses they take with us.
Students are allowed to choose among a variety of courses offered in order to obtain the necessary number of semester credits. Although knowledge of Ukrainian is not required to participate in this program (all courses are taught in English), students have a chance to take a Ukrainian language course at their appropriate skill level.
Co-curricular activities outside the classroom – including volunteer placements, special seminars, field trips and other academic events – will help foreign students immerse themselves in Ukrainian society and advance their understanding and appreciation of modern Ukrainian culture.

Application deadline:
for Fall semester – 30 April
for Spring semester – 15 October
